Beech Avon

This was the first float, the body is from Spalted Beech, the bristle and stem are a Goose quill.
From the bottom of the Yew log base to the tip its 20cm high.
The bristle was finished with red and white paint and a few turns of fine whipping thread.

As it was for display it needed a base, this was turned from a Yew log being carefull to leave the original bark on the outside just adds to the character, under the base a layer of green felt finishes it off.

  1. Drool, Scott this has got to be one of the best looking floats you have made in my honest opinion, if I had to say float porn this would be it, you can pay me later with one of these:)
